During his corporate banking career with Farm Credit Services and Sterling Savings Bank(now Umpqua Bank), Mr. Carney risk-assessed and approved over $725 million in commercial real estate loans and personally managed a portfolio of over $72 million in adversely classified loans. His Special Assets and Credit Examiner backgrounds have taught Mr. Carney to do every deal backwards, to know his exit before approving, and how to foresee most credit and business pitfalls of any deal before it happens.
Mr. Carney is a Summa Cum Laude Arizona State University graduate, a best-selling author, and a U.S. AirForce veteran . As a youth, he earned his Eagle Scout Merit badge and is currently an active Boy Scout leader and a volunteer for his local church.
